Protein Digestion Standards for MS Calibration and Method Validation Minimize

 

Certified Protein Digest Standards

Certified protein tryptic digest standards are now available from eight species and one yeast protein mixture for use in HPLC, CE, LC/MS, CE/MS, ESI-MS and MALDI-MS instrument calibration.  Pure protein standards are reduced with DTT, alkylated with IAA, and digested with trypsin.  Digestions are monitored by HPLC to ensure complete digestion (>95%).  The digests are then quantitated using HPLC/UV.  500 picomole aliquots of each digest are dried and stored at -20oC.  Each protein digest batch is analyzed by LC-MS/MS, and resulting data searched to ensure a top match with good coverage.  Each digest comes with a test certificate and instructions for digestion and storage.
